8 in 10 people own promotional items. Whether it's t-shirts, water bottles, pens, flash drives, sunglasses, or koozies, these items have become part of many people’s daily lives. Product retention shows that about half of the people that receive a product will keep it for more than a year. Despite what you may think, the cups you gave out last year at the local summer festival did not go straight into the trash. Rather, they were brought back to people’s homes and were used for a significant period of time. 88% of consumers can recall the name on a promotional product they received in the last 24 months. Promo products have proven higher recognition rates than other forms of advertising such as TV and print ads. As this physical item sits in people’s homes and they utilize it in their daily routines, they are subconsciously creating a brand identification in their heads. Promotional materials that can be used in the kitchen have the highest success rate. Kitchens items have been 91% successful followed by 74% success for items used in the workplace.
